The writers of the poems and essays in Chapter 5 of the I Write the Future anthology pose several ways that they can write the future and make change: defining your identity rather than giving in to peer pressure, problem-solving with the help of parents and trusted advisors, responding to intolerance with creativity and purpose, and going public with your story of growth and change.
