Boise State Writing Project is engaged with an important partnership with the Idaho State Department of Education: the Idaho Core Coach Network.  The network, which involves 16 coaches, all of whom are National Writing Project teacher-consultants, supports teachers and schools as they attempt to implement Common Core State Standards.

The Jacksonville State University Writing Project conducted a four-day institute for twenty-one teachers, focusing on digital writing.  Plans were built around Troy Hicks' Crafting Digital Writing: Composing Texts Across Media and Genres.  Participants engaged in digital writing experiments:

Having an already established working relationship with Metropolitan Business Academy in New Haven helped shift the professional learning model away from traditional PD formats to teacher as action researcher. 

Metro had hired the CWP to work with their teachers for several years after one of their English teachers attended the SI and then, with the help of an action research grant, presented his work at the Urban Sites Network Conference in Atlanta.  Partnering with them for the High Need School Grant was part of a logical progression.
