Tracey Flores is a first year doctoral student in English Education.  She is the co-director of the Central Arizona Writing Project (CAWP) at Arizona State University, Tempe Campus. Her areas of interests include the literacy practices of English Language Learners (ELLS), family literacy as a platform for enhancing parent advocacy and efficacy, implementation of readers and writers workshop in urban school settings, and classroom instruction of ELLs, both in the mainstream and English Language Development (ELD) classroom.  Before entering her journey as a doctoral student, Tracey taught for 8 years in urban elementary and middle schools across Phoenix and Glendale. She enjoys reading, writing, running, and yoga.
