My name is Shaun Mitchell and I'm an English teacher at Central High School in Bridgeport, CT. I teach African-American Literature and direct the plays & musicals with our student acting troupe, The Central Players.

I am an active member of The Connecticut Writing Project - Fairfield and have presented research at several conferences through the organization. And it was through the CT Writing Project that I started my connection to The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
